Book Tree PDF Print E-mail

The Book Tree was successful yet again this year.  There were 149 names this year from Spring Creek Elementary, Adobe MS, Southside, Grammar, Mountain View, Flag View, and Sage.  A big thank you goes to Kathy McLeod who put this project together.  We appreciate her hard work.  We also thank the teachers at Spring Creek Elementary and the Spring Creek High School Student Council students who helped wrap books and The Bookstore.

Visit to the Rotary Club of Elko-Desert Sunrise

Beth Kern and Susan Neal attended a Rotary Club of Elko-Desert Sunrise on November 19 to speak about the Elko County READS program and the Elko County Reading Council.  Beth showed a movie that told about the Elko County READS program.  She also spoke about the importance of that program and of the ECRC.

The Rotary Club of Elko-Desert Sunrise has made a donation to the Rotary Foundation in the name of the Elko County School District READS program.  The mission of The Rotary Foundation is to enable Rotarians to advance world understanding, goodwill, and peace through the improvement of health, the support of education, and the alleviation of poverty.
